Minneapolis gears up for a grand Prince tribute on his 10th death anniversary
On the 10th anniversary of Prince’s death, Minneapolis will host a multi-day celebration—the ‘10th Anniversary Celebration of Life’—at Paisley Park from June 3–7, culminating near his mural with a free community sing-along, as city leaders and Prince’s representatives emphasize honoring his life and artistry. Prince died in 2016 from an accidental fentanyl overdose at Paisley Park in Chanhassen and leaves a legacy as a versatile, seven-time Grammy-winning musician who wrote hits for others.
