Airbus XLR and BA Partnership: American Airlines' Multi-Use Strategy for Transatlantic Travel

American Airlines' managing director of global network planning, Jason Reisinger, has said that the Airbus A321XLR will add significant flexibility to the airline's network strategy and how it can most efficiently serve thinner long-haul routes. American Airlines has an order for 50 XLRs, which will bring narrowbody economics to routes more typically served by widebodies.
