Alaska Airlines unveils a double-sized Portland Lounge to elevate West Coast travel
Alaska Airlines opened a roughly 14,000-square-foot Portland International Airport lounge on June 4, 2026, more than doubling its previous space to seat 200+ guests in a Pacific Northwest–inspired setting with features like a fireplace, a Mt. Hood mural, locally inspired dining, barista beverages, and private work booths. The nearly $18 million investment highlights Alaska’s broader push to expand its premium guest experience and lounge footprint, with upcoming larger lounges planned in Seattle and expansions in San Diego and Honolulu; Portland remains a key hub with more flights and seats this year.
