France urges U.S. to free 86-year-old widow held by ICE
France is pressing the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to release Marie-Therese Ross, an 86-year-old widow of a U.S. Army veteran, who was detained by ICE in Alabama after overstaying a 90-day visa and is now held in Louisiana. The French Consul General says Paris is fully mobilized, has visited her in detention, and is coordinating with her family and officials to secure her release and ensure access to food and healthcare while DHS reviews her status.
