Ford’s Mustang GTD Competition set a 6:40.835 lap at the Nürburgring, shaving over 11 seconds off its own previous best thanks to power upgrades, revised aero, lighter magnesium wheels, DRS, and weight savings. Production began December 2025 at Bowling Green, and GM markets the ZR1X as a sub-$1 million high-performance machine.
