The Resurgence of Gerhard Richter

Gerhard Richter's latest exhibition at David Zwirner Gallery in New York features 14 of his final series of paintings, three recent series of works on paper, and one of his glass sculptures. The paintings are unusually dense and passionate, with each one coming in different sizes and color combinations. The exhibition also includes 76 works on paper and a series of 31 inkjet prints of drawings. Richter, who is known for his control over his work, decided these would be his last paintings only after they were finished. The exhibition runs until April 22.
