Iranian drones ignite Dubai airport, halting flights at a major global hub
An Iranian drone attack set a fuel tank at Dubai International Airport on Monday ablaze, triggering a massive fire and the suspension of flights at one of the world’s busiest hubs. The fire was reportedly under control by sunrise, though smoke lingered and roads near the airport were closed. Flights were gradually resuming to selected destinations after precautionary halts. Emirates said some services would be limited, and Iran had warned that targets in Dubai’s financial district and other Gulf locations could be hit, underscoring ongoing concerns about attacks on civilian infrastructure in the region.
