Marathon Tests Limited-Time Two-Player Duos on Perimeter

Marathon is adding a limited-time Duos queue on the Perimeter map to test two-player play at scale for two weeks. There will be no matchmaking; players must join with pre-made duos and will be matched only against other duos. Bungie calls the feature experimental and says changes may follow, with the possibility of making it permanent if the test goes well. Cryo, the endgame map, is slated to arrive later this week.

The mode introduces new cards and heroes designed to synergize with cooperative play, along with 4 unique heroes, 16 minions, and 3 tavern spells. Season 7 will also bring a full refresh for Battlegrounds, featuring a fairy tale theme, 50 new minions, 12+ returnees, and adjustments to the Beast, Mech, and Dragon tribes for better balance.
