Eye test flags brain tumor for St Neots girl, prompt treatment follows
A mum from St Neots, Cambridgeshire, took her four-year-old Phoebe to A&E after headaches and sickness, following an eye test that prompted the diagnosis of a brain tumor. The tumour, a pilocytic astrocytoma, was treated with two surgeries within 72 hours, and Phoebe has since returned to school while her condition is monitored with follow-up MRIs. The family has highlighted the importance of eye tests for children and welcomes additional funding and research into brain tumors.
