Two NBC News–observed focus groups in Iowa and Georgia found that inflation and high living costs dominate the thinking of undecided voters as they weigh the state’s Senate races; most participants disapprove of Trump and tie his policy record to the economy, while many say the pocketbook issues—gas, groceries, healthcare, utilities—will be the main drivers of their midterm votes, with a few open to a Democratic candidate.
