SC Magistrate Denies Bond for Parents of Autistic Girl Found Dead in Waterway
A South Carolina magistrate denied bond for John and Geordyn Hayes, parents of 5-year-old Saylor Hayes, who was found dead in a waterway near Pawleys Island. The couple faces charges of unlawfully placing a child at risk and willfully abandoning a child. An autopsy confirmed Saylor died of pulmonary edema consistent with drowning, with no visible trauma.
