Falcon 9 set to loft SiriusXM SXM-11 satellite into geosynchronous transfer orbit tonight

SpaceX aims to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral tonight (June 28) within a four-hour window opening at 10:25 p.m. EDT, delivering the SiriusXM SXM-11 satellite (about 15,400 pounds) to a geosynchronous transfer orbit; deployment is scheduled roughly 34.5 minutes after liftoff, with the first stage expected to land on the drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas about 8.5 minutes later (booster B1085 in its 17th flight). Live coverage starts ~15 minutes before liftoff.

SpaceX deploys ViaSat-3 F3 on Falcon Heavy, boosting APAC capacity beyond 1 Tbps

SpaceX launched the 6-ton ViaSat-3 F3 satellite on a Falcon Heavy from Kennedy Space Center. After a multi-burn ascent, the satellite deployed into a geosynchronous transfer orbit as the two side boosters returned for landing and the center core was not recovered. The third and final ViaSat-3 vessel will take about two months to raise to its final position at 155.58°E, delivering more than 1 Tbps of capacity for the Asia-Pacific region using flexible phased-array beams.

SpaceX successfully launches Indonesian satellite into orbit on Father's Day.

SpaceX is set to launch an Indonesian communications satellite, SATRIA-1, to geosynchronous transfer orbit using a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The rocket's first stage will return to Earth for a vertical touchdown on the SpaceX droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas. SATRIA-1 will provide free internet connection to 150,000 public facilities in Indonesia and have a throughput capacity of 150 billion bits per second.
