Greaves Secures Three-Year, $15 Million Extension With Columbus
Goaltender Jet Greaves signed a three-year, $15 million contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets, avoiding arbitration and cementing him as the club’s starter after a breakout season in which he posted a 26-19-9 record in 55 games with a .908 save percentage and 2.60 goals-against average; the deal represents a big jump from last year’s $825,000 salary and was described by GM Don Waddell as securing a core piece for the franchise.
