Toews retires, honors UND roots and a Hall of Fame-caliber career
Jonathan Toews announced his retirement after a storied 16-year NHL career, highlighted by three Stanley Cups with the Chicago Blackhawks, two Olympic golds, and membership in the Triple Gold Club; he reflected on his two years at the University of North Dakota, his decision to skip major junior hockey, and his ongoing connections to UND, while saying he isn’t yet sure what comes next beyond taking time to slow down and possibly visiting The Ralph again.
