Israel's rapid, intelligence-driven strikes target Iran's leadership
CBS News reports that since late February, Israel has carried out a string of high-speed, intelligence-driven killings of senior Iranian officials—including the Supreme Leader—using on-the-ground informants and electronic surveillance with regional and Western partners. Analysts say the ‘kill chain’ must be very tight to hit moving targets, but caution that leadership decapitation can backfire, potentially spurring more extreme actions or regime instability, and note there is no clear sign yet of an imminent collapse of Iran's leadership.
