NTSB opens probe after Marine One near-miss near Reagan National
The NTSB has opened a probe into a reported loss of separation between Marine One carrying President Trump and an Envoy Air jet during takeoff from Reagan National Airport. The FAA confirmed a momentary proximity and said the President was never in danger, with both aircraft continuing to separate. The investigation will review airspace procedures, including VIP flight protocols and the three-minute alert practice, amid heightened Washington-area airspace safety concerns following last year’s Reagan National crash.
