After nearly three decades with NASA, astronaut Suni Williams retires following a nine-month stay on the International Space Station caused by Boeing's Starliner issues; she and crewmate Butch Wilmore returned to Earth on SpaceX, and Williams logged 608 days in space including a record 62 hours of spacewalking.
A SpaceX Dragon cargo capsule carrying 7,000 pounds of supplies, scientific experiments, and other gear is scheduled to dock at the International Space Station's Harmony module on Tuesday at 5:50 a.m. EDT. The capsule is also carrying two more International Space Station Roll Out Solar Arrays (iROSAs), which will be installed by spacewalking astronauts to augment the ISS' power output. The Dragon is expected to stay at the ISS for 21 days before returning to Earth for a parachute-aided ocean splashdown.
