Ukraine Claims Neptune Missiles Destroy Six Su-34M Bombers in Voronezh Strike
Ukrainian forces used Neptune coastal missiles to strike the Borisoglebsk airfield in Russia’s Voronezh region overnight on Oct. 14-15, claiming the destruction of six Su-34M fighter-bombers. The attack also damaged aviation support equipment and triggered secondary explosions. While Kyiv asserts this significantly reduces Russian tactical air capabilities, independent verification of the aircraft losses remains pending, and Russian officials have not confirmed the damage.
