
Delta Flight Reverses Mid-Atlantic, Hours-Long Detour Ends in Atlanta
A Delta Air Lines Airbus A330-200 flying from Atlanta to Lagos turned back toward Atlanta after about three-and-a-half hours due to an unspecified “operational issue.” The return leg made the crossing feel like an eight-hour trip, landing in Atlanta around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, with the flight canceled and the aircraft grounded for inspection once back at the hub.
