
Former Army Captain sues DoD and Idaho National Guard over D.C. detainment
Retired U.S. Army Captain Anna King alleges three National Guard troops violently detained her at her D.C. home after she displayed protest signs, a confrontation that went viral. Her lawyers say there was no legal basis for the front-gate entry and detention, and she has filed a claim against the Defense Department and the Idaho National Guard for assault and improper conduct, while authorities say she had previously thrown an unknown liquid at troops.
