Doom Soundtrack Enshrined in National Recording Registry, Joins Gaming Hall of Fame
The 1993 Doom soundtrack by Bobby Prince has been added to the National Recording Registry, marking it as culturally significant and making it the third piece of video game music to be inducted (after the Super Mario Bros. theme and the Minecraft soundtrack) and the first American game composer to be listed, with the selection placed alongside a roster of other iconic US recordings that range from classic singles to influential albums.
