Pence Urges South Korea to Supply Interceptors as Zelenskyy Warns of Winter Energy Strikes
Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy requested approximately 5% of the U.S. Patriot missile inventory to survive the winter. Pence, speaking from Kyiv, argued that South Korea could help resolve the shortage by providing its own sophisticated interceptors, a move that could repair strained U.S.-South Korea relations. While Pence claimed Ukraine is winning the war, he warned that Russia may target energy infrastructure as temperatures drop.
