Microsoft Employees Rally Behind Change, Call for Stronger Manager Coaching
Microsoft’s internal Employee Signals survey shows staff feeling energized and empowered to do meaningful work, with a Thriving score up to 79 and strengths in addressing security challenges, inclusivity, and culture, while opportunities include broader role experiences, ensuring productivity, and clearer links between work and organizational objectives. In the separate Manager and Leader Signals survey, 85% of employees are confident in their manager’s overall effectiveness, with strengths in embracing new challenges but coaching and providing actionable feedback identified as weaker areas. The results come from an internal memo by Chief People Officer Amy Coleman and are framed as a call for more transparency and frequent communication as Microsoft navigates change.
