Chandra image reveals hot and huge M84.

A new X-ray map of the gas around the galaxy Messier 84 (M84) has revealed an "H"-shaped structure, formed by the cavities in the hot gas surrounding the black hole at the center of the galaxy. The structure is an example of pareidolia, where people see familiar shapes or patterns in random data. Researchers found that the jets from the black hole may influence the flow of the hot gas towards the black hole even more than the gravitational pull from the black hole. The supermassive black hole in M84 is producing a jet of particles, and the point source of X-rays from material even closer to the black hole is over ten times fainter than that of M87.
