Astrophysicists have discovered a "twin sister" galaxy to the Milky Way called ceers-2112, located at the edge of the universe. The galaxy existed 11.7 billion years ago, when the universe was only 15% of its current age. The discovery was made using images captured by the James Webb Space Telescope, revealing the faint light from the infancy of the cosmos. The galaxy has a bar-shaped structure in its center, similar to the Milky Way, and its stars have a total mass equivalent to 3.9 billion solar masses. This finding provides insights into the evolution of spiral galaxies and the history of the Milky Way.
