"Scientists Uncover Vast Gravitational Wave Background in the Universe"

Five independent teams of radio astronomers have presented evidence that the universe is filled with gravitational waves created by colliding supermassive black holes. By monitoring pulsars, rapidly spinning dead stars, the teams gathered information about the gravitational waves. Although the signal does not meet the scientific community's detection standard, the astronomers believe their results provide compelling evidence for a gravitational wave background likely produced by pairs of gigantic black holes.
