Unearthed: Unknown T-Rex Relatives Discovered in Morocco

Two previously unknown predatory dinosaur species, relatives of the tyrannosaurus rex, have been discovered in Morocco. These dinosaurs, belonging to the Abelisauridae family, lived at the end of the Cretaceous period, just before the mass extinction event that wiped out most dinosaurs. The findings suggest that the region in present-day Morocco was home to a diverse range of dinosaur species. The discoveries challenge previous assumptions about dinosaur diversity in different parts of the world during the same period.
