"Advancements in Research Aim to Slow Down Human Ageing"

Research into slowing down human ageing is gaining serious attention and investment from wealthy individuals and startups. While average life expectancy has been increasing, there are limits to how long humans can live, with very few individuals living beyond 110 years. However, there is growing evidence that certain drugs and genetic manipulation can extend lifespan, at least in mice. Scientists are studying the 12 hallmarks of ageing, such as chronic inflammation and the build-up of aberrant proteins, in the hopes of finding interventions that can prolong life and improve health. While the field is still complex and many challenges remain, progress is being made towards understanding and potentially reversing the ageing process.
