"Big Bang Observatory: A Road Map for Advancing US Physics Projects"

An influential panel of scientists has recommended that the United States fund five major projects in high-energy physics, including the Cosmic Microwave Background–Stage IV project (CMB-S4) to study the instants after the Big Bang, experiments on neutrinos, a large dark-matter detector, and US participation in a future particle collider to study the Higgs boson. The panel also suggested demonstrating the feasibility of two new particle accelerators and expanding the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). The report emphasized the importance of ongoing and under-construction experiments, such as the upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider.
