Impending Geomagnetic Storm Threatens Earth with Auroras and Radio Blackouts

NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a Geomagnetic Storm Warning for a moderate (G2) or greater storm expected on Earth, which could result in brilliant displays of the aurora. The warning comes after a strong Coronal Mass Ejection event produced stunning northern lights across several US states and Canadian provinces.
