Impending Solar Storm: NASA Warns of Earth's Vulnerability

NASA has revealed that a massive hole has opened up on the Sun, releasing a stream of solar winds that are expected to reach Earth on October 30, potentially triggering a solar storm. The forecast predicts a G1-class storm, which could spark auroras and disrupt communication for mariners, aviators, drone pilots, and amateur radio operators. In worst cases, solar storms can disrupt GPS and mobile networks, damage satellites, cause power grid failures, and corrupt ground-based electronics. The NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) is monitoring the situation using its instruments to collect data on solar activities.
