"NASA's Confirmation: Dazzling Fireball Illuminates Connecticut's Night Sky"

NASA confirms that a fireball, which was actually a meteor, lit up the sky in Connecticut and was visible in eight states. The meteor entered the atmosphere off the coast of Long Island, traveled southeast at a speed of 116,000 miles per hour, and disintegrated 49 miles above the ocean. The American Meteor Society suggests that there are upcoming meteor showers, including the Northern Taurids until Dec. 2, the Southern Taurids until Dec. 8, and the Orionids until Nov. 22.
