Sonic booms accompany SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket landings at Cape Canaveral.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 booster landings will now take place more frequently at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, resulting in more sonic booms being heard across sections of Florida's East Coast and Central Florida. The Falcon 9 rocket generates a triple boom, which can be heard up to 50 miles wide, but is largely harmless to humans, wildlife, and infrastructure. Over the course of a year, there could be half a dozen more booster landings at Landing Zones 1 and 2, and SpaceX aims to launch 100 missions in 2023.
