Genetically engineered mice grow antlers, paving way for human limb regeneration.

Chinese researchers have genetically engineered mice to grow tiny deer antlers by implanting stem cells from deer into the rodents. The technique could lead to new treatments for bone injuries or regrowing lost limbs. The researchers hope to expand the capacity of modern medicine by identifying newly-identified stem cell types.
