"NASA's Newest Astronaut Class Prepares for Moon Missions and Space Station Ventures"

NASA welcomes 12 new astronauts, including 10 Americans and 2 from the United Arab Emirates, after they completed a two-year training program at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. The astronauts will be assigned missions to the International Space Station, future commercial space stations, and will focus on missions to the moon in preparation for Mars. The diverse class of scientists, doctors, engineers, and researchers underwent rigorous training in various aspects of space exploration, and while they won't immediately go on a flight, they are prepared for their time in space. Applications are now open for the next round of astronauts.
