NASA Safeguards Bennu Sample: Ensuring Protection of Valuable Asteroid Material

NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission successfully landed a capsule containing a sample from the asteroid Bennu in the Utah desert. Technicians at NASA's Johnson Space Center will carefully dismantle the capsule to access the interior canister holding the asteroid sample, ensuring its safety and integrity. The canister could contain up to 9 ounces of space rocks and dust, providing valuable insights into the early solar system's formation.
