It captured an image of its Perseverance mothership and some debris left over from the landing sequence. Perseverance is currently parked at a rock outcrop called "Echo Creek" in Jezero Crater, where the team is studying the rocks and their polygon-shaped patterns. The crater's history raises questions about the role of water and the possibility of microbial life. The rover has instruments to study the ancient rocks, while Ingenuity provides unique views of the landscape.
