Juno spacecraft approaches Jupiter's moon Io.

NASA's Juno spacecraft will perform its closest flyby of Jupiter's volcanic moon Io on May 16, collecting data on the moon's many volcanoes and how they interact with Jupiter's magnetosphere and auroras. Juno has already performed 50 flybys of Jupiter and collected data during close encounters with three of the four Galilean moons. The spacecraft's sensors will study Io's volcanoes and their behavior over time, providing valuable insights into the moon's geology.
