"NASA's Stunning Images of Volcano World from Space"

NASA's Juno spacecraft captured stunning images of Jupiter's moon Io, the most volcanic place in our solar system. Io is constantly stretched and squeezed due to the gravitational forces of Jupiter and its neighboring moons, resulting in its intense volcanic activity. The recent images, the most detailed since 2007, show lava fields and fresh lava flows on Io's surface. Juno will continue to orbit Jupiter and make even closer passes by Io in late December and early 2024.
