Private Missions to the International Space Station: Expanding Access and Advancing Commercial Space Dreams

Axiom Space's private astronaut mission, Ax-2, has sent four astronauts, including two women and two men, to the International Space Station (ISS) to conduct scientific investigations and technology demonstrations. The mission aims to broaden access to space and streamline processes as Axiom Space works towards building its own space station in low Earth orbit. The company is brokering seats on flights and helping more people reach orbit, with the help of SpaceX and NASA. Axiom Space is also working to expand human spaceflight opportunities to a larger share of the international community, as well as to multiply scientific and technological development on Earth and in orbit.
