"Stunning Photos: Earth and Moon Captured by Mars Orbiter"

The Mars Express spacecraft, operated by the European Space Agency (ESA), celebrated its 20th anniversary by capturing images of Earth and the moon from Mars. The photos show our planet and its natural satellite as tiny white dots, emphasizing the vast distance between Earth and Mars. The images evoke the famous "Pale Blue Dot" photo taken by Voyager 1 in 1990, reminding us of the fragility of Earth and the need to protect it. The Mars Express mission, which arrived in Mars orbit in 2003, has been extended until at least December 2026.
