Ukrainian strikes knock Mariupol port offline and target Russia’s southern logistics network
Ukrainian forces disabled the Russian-occupied port of Mariupol, cutting a key logistics hub used to move military cargo between Donetsk, Crimea and Russia, after strikes on substations, radar and fuel facilities and the sanctioned vessel Lady Augusta. The campaign also destroyed the Chonhar Bridge linking Crimea to occupied Kherson and hit the Cheboksary VNIIR-Progress plant blamed for drone and missile components, part of a broader long-range strike effort. Bulgaria’s new government signaled it will halt arms shipments to Ukraine and call for negotiations, signaling a shift in regional support.
