Dry Danube Reveals Two German WWII Soldiers in Budapest
Record-low Danube water in Budapest revealed two German WWII soldiers' remains, along with a near-intact Wehrmacht motorcycle, identification tags, a Kuban shield and other artifacts; the German War Graves Commission will work to identify the wearers (one Wehrmacht, one Waffen-SS) and arrange burials, with bone analysis used to confirm identities and help reconnect families after more than 80 years.
