Nutritionist urges minimalist coffee habits while new study links moderate intake to lower diabetes risk
A new study from the University of Oulu suggests that drinking up to five cups of coffee daily may reduce visceral fat and lower markers associated with type 2 diabetes. Conversely, nutritionist Laure Hyvernat advises a minimalist approach, recommending no more than one cup per day or even per week to avoid hormonal imbalances. Hyvernat emphasizes that the healthiest choice is black espresso or ristretto, consumed between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and warns against adding sugar, certain milks, or instant coffee due to their negative metabolic impacts.
