Disneyland Bids Farewell to Benny, Its Beloved Security Dog
Benny, an 8-year-old security dog at Disneyland, retires after six years of service as a security cast member in Anaheim. Known by several nicknames, Benny celebrated with a retirement party that included his first hot dog in years, tennis balls, and generous petting from coworkers. His K-9 handler, Kevin, will now care for him at home, continuing Benny’s legacy of safety at the park’s entrances where they helped keep guests and staff safe. Disney Parks publicly thanked Benny on Instagram for “49 years of dog service” and his impact on magical moments.
