Ukraine’s FP-7 Ballistic Missile Nears Combat Deployment
Ukraine’s Fire Point says its FP-7 tactical ballistic missile could enter combat within weeks after completing two testing stages; the 200-km-range weapon can carry up to a 150-kg warhead and is being readied alongside the FP-9, which has a range of up to 850 km and is still in flight tests. Because testing must occur outside Ukrainian territory, officials say initial strikes into Russia could occur as early as autumn, with Fire Point comparing the system to the U.S. ATACMS and signaling deeper Ukrainian strikes if Moscow continues hostilities.
