Canon's V-C Split Dampens Its Video Potential

A PetaPixel opinion argues Canon’s three similar full-frame cameras—the C50, R6 III, and R6 V—are hamstrung by an internal split: the C50 focuses on cinema features but omits IBIS and an EVF, the R6 III adds IBIS and an EVF but drops some cinema options, and the R6 V brings cooling and a video-forward stance yet lacks dual recording and a cohesive, video-first menu. The result is a “wall” between V and C that prevents Canon from delivering a unified, best-in-class option for video creators, despite sharing the same sensor and strong image quality.

Ibis HD6: A Glimpse into Design Changes with Mixed Wheels and More Travel.

Ibis has released the HD6, a combination of elements from the Ripmo and the HD5, with 165mm of rear travel, a 180mm fork, and a mixed wheel setup. The suspension is designed to be sensitive off the top, with enough progression for big hits, and the bike is air or coil shock compatible. The frame features straight lines, cable tunnels, and a lifetime warranty. The HD6 is a manageable, maneuverable bike that works well on tighter, trickier enduro race stages.
