Big 12 switches back to hardwood for tourney finales after slippery glass floor issues
The Big 12 will replace the experimental glass floor with a traditional hardwood court for the final two days of the conference tournament after coaches of the four semifinal teams pushed for a safer surface, citing slipping and an injury risk (a Texas Tech guard strained a muscle). Kansas coach Bill Self supported the move, saying it’s the right call to prioritize player comfort on a big stage.
