Danuri Captures SpaceX Moon Impact Crater
South Korea's Danuri lunar orbiter logged eight imaging passes before and after SpaceX's Falcon 9 upper stage struck the Moon on Aug. 5, 2026, revealing a crater up to about 27 meters wide with surrounding ejecta. The data will be combined with NASA's LRO observations and may be complemented by ground-based video captured by Spain's Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía.
