Ice-Flavored Vapes Might Impact Heart Health, New Research Suggests
New research links ice-flavor additives in e-cigarettes—especially menthol and synthetic cooling compounds—to potential cardiovascular effects via TRPM8 receptors. In a mouse study, menthol aerosols raised heart rate, blood pressure, and stress hormones, with some effects persisting after exposure; lab results also hint at vascular cell damage. Human health impacts are not yet proven and safety data are incomplete.
